I’ve recently been listening a lot to social media rocker Gary Vaynerchuk‘s podcast. In it, he constantly drills the importance of hard work, along with consistency. Never has this been more true than with the social network Pinterest. Pinterest is a visual social network that thrives upon regular viewing, pinning and liking; the more regular (normally) the better. The thing is, it’s seriously tricky to devote enough time that it needs or deserves, to Pinterest. Luckily, that’s where a handy little app called Tailwind App comes in. It allows for consistency.
Here’s my results after using the tool for a few months. No crazy peaks, no viral pins, just slow but consistent growth.
The Tailwind App is in essence, a post scheduler built and maintained exclusively for Pinterest. The reason that schedulers like Buffer or Hootsuite aren’t dominating the game for Pinterest, is that Pinterest isn’t like other social networks. These tools were built for networks like Facebook, or Twitter, where text is the dominant medium and images are secondary. With Pinterest though, images are the be all and end all.

So why does Tailwind App rock?
There are other Pinterest schedulers out there; so why the buzz around Tailwind?
It’s powerful, fast, efficient
User experience is extremely important when talking about day to day maintenance of a social network. If I can decrease the time I spend using a tool, but still getting the results I need, it’s a big tick.
Work smarter, not harder.
Tailwind is this tool for me. You can easily get a view for every post scheduled to go out across your profile – which is quickly customised, added to or shuffled. This is, in my opinion, the most efficient way to view a Pinterest profile on mass. This view is the starship enterprise for Pinterest control; with 10-15 minutes work I can quickly configure my pins for the day, or even week, and ensure there are no gaps in pinning.
It’s on the go
I work full time. Unlike some other bloggers in the blogosphere, I’ve not yet decided to ‘quit the 9 to 5’. For this reason, the time I have to spend on my blogs and their promotion is limited. The nice thing about Tailwind App, is that along with their pretty solid web app, they also have a blistering iOS app that lets me pin on the go.
On my morning commute, you can quickly configure pins, shuffle orders and prioritise certain pins for the day. This might seem like a small thing, but more and more of my businesses are able to be run on mobile; so being able to monitor my Pinterest there is a big win.
If you use group boards, look no further
Group boards are one of the best ways for you to seed your content out on Pinterest. If you aren’t investing a lot of time into researching popular group boards within your website niche, you’re really missing out.
Thankfully Tailwind App makes short work of making group boards way more efficient – as anyone knows who has had to pin to tons of group boards regularly, it is a headache. By using the ‘board list’ feature on Tailwind, you can quickly add pins to dozens of boards simply in one click.
This seemingly small feature, saves me literally hours.
No more need to schedule a pin over and over again across multiple boards, just set up a board list and off you go.
It’s Pinterest Approved
Tailwind is a Pinterest-approved scheduler. Meaning that there’s no risk it will be shut down, no risk of any shifty account nonsense occuring; which becomes more important the larger your Pinterest profile becomes. Plus, it means Pinterest knows that they’re rockin’.
Passively smash Pinterest
Pinterest is rapidly becoming my #1 social network source of traffic.
It’s also the network I spend probably the least amount of time on.
If you put a lot of work into creating original, high quality content with high impact visuals, Pinterest will reward you. By using Tailwind to seed this content throughout the week to various boards and group boards, you can put the work in necessary to get your Pinterest smashing results in 10-15 minutes a day. Work smarter not harder.
Try Tailwind Now
Hopefully I’ve convinced you about Tailwind’s power. Now it’s up to you try it. You can snag a free trial of Tailwind App that will allow you to schedule up to 100 pins. It’s completely risk free, so I’d thoroughly recommend giving it a spin.
